Written while I still lived in Cape Town, this piece was inspired by a night drive along the contour road on Table Mountain. The stars were out and the moon was visible with the planets Mars and Venus. As those heavenly lights illuminated the dark sky, so the brooding mountain was lit up by a great sweeping vista of civilization. |
