In celebration of my 50th birthday, a concert of my works will take place at The University of Akron’s Guzzetta Recital Hall on Monday, 30 October at 7:30 pm. The admission is free, and in the spirit of Halloween, performers and audience are encouraged to come in costume.
Guests Henry Kelder and Caroline Oltmanns will perform with me and my UA colleagues Stanislav Golovin, Todd Gaffke, Philip Thomson, Mayumi Kikuchi, and Cynthia Cioffari. Featured on the program are Staying at Home for solo piano, Linea Instrumentalis 12 for solo bass clarinet, Hlaba Igama for tenor sax and piano, 5 Ecossaises for solo piano, Diptychos for two pianos, Half Imagined for solo piano, and Sonata for bassoon and piano.
